College Isabella Thoburn was previously known as the Lucknow Women’s College and was often informally called IT College. The college was named after its founder, Isabella Thoburn and was founded in 1886. On this day, the college is associated with Lucknow University. There are five university programs offered by the college, Bachelor of BA, B.Sc, B.Ed, B.Li.Sc & B.Com. In addition, there are two postgraduate courses provided by the college, MA and M.Sc.
The College has recently released the application dates for B.Ed. B.Ed application forms for the academic session are now available in college. Application forms for M.A and M.Sc will be made available by college from 19 May 201.8
The college offers UG & PG programs in several disciplines for which application forms will be available in college or can choose to receive it through mail.
|B.A||Candidates, who want to choose English, must have a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in English in HSC to appear for the entrance test.|
|B.Sc||Candidate must have appeared in HSC with the Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics.|
|B.Com||Candidates must have passed HSC from a recognized university are eligible to appear for the entrance test if they have scored a minimum aggregate of 50%|
|B.Ed||Candidate must have passed a bachelor’s degree in science or arts from a recognized university with a minimum aggregate of 50% are eligible to appear in the entrance examination.|
|B.LIB.I.SC||Candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in science/arts/commerce from a recognized university and must have at least a second division which is 48% marks in minimum.|

The college conducts an entrance exam to provide admission in PG programmes. For UG courses, students have to maintain a good position in the merit list published by the college.

Isabella Thoburn College B.A, B.Sc and B.Com Admission 2019
The admission into B.A, B.Sc and B.Com courses for the academic session for the women candidates would be done on the basis of an entrance test. The minimum eligibility required for getting admission into all these courses might be relaxed for the Christian candidates.
The application form along with the college prospectus would be available in the college after the college releases the dates for the same. The candidates can opt to get it from the counter itself for INR 600/- or even to choose to get it through the post for INR 650/-. The payments would be accepted in cash or through a bank draft in favor of the college.
The candidate can submit the filled form at the college on the mentioned dates or send it through post along with all the necessary enclosures to the college address. Along with the application form, candidates have to enclose a bank draft of INR 400 in favor of the designated bank. Candidates who wish to receive the admit card for the entrance test would have to pay an additional amount of INR 50 along with it. The entrance test fees in non-refundable under any circumstances.
The date and time of the test are printed on the admit card as well as on the admission form. The name of the test center would be mentioned there as well. The candidates can apply for one or more than one group on different application forms.

All the candidates must have a minimum qualification of a bachelor’s degree in Arts or Science with minimum aggregate marks of 50% from a recognized university.
The entrance test fee and all the other required documents should be enclosed with the form as well. The fees should be paid through a bank draft in the favor of the principal of the college. There would be three papers in the entrance examination.

All the questions asked in the entrance exam would be of objective type with four options of which the only one of them is correct. The candidate would have to choose the correct answer and put a cross-mark in the chosen box.

To be able to get admitted into the B.L.I.Sc course, a candidate must have a bachelor’s degree from a recognized University with a minimum of 48% marks in aggregate. All the eligible candidates would be required to appear for a written test which would be followed by an interview and it is on the basis of their performance, that they would be selected for admission.
An admission processing fee of INR 350 would be charged which would have to be deposited along with the application form through a bank draft in favor of the principal of the college. The candidate must be proficient in English to be able to get admitted.

Under the M.Sc and the M.A. program, the college offers various courses which the students can choose from.
|M.Sc (Bio-Technology)||A graduate degree in B.Sc from a recognized University with a minimum aggregate of 55% marks.|
|M.Sc (Chemistry)||A graduate degree in B.Sc with chemistry in all the three years and minimum aggregate marks of 50%.|
