M.Sc in Environment Science | Candidate must possess B.Sc degree or equivalent degree in any branch of basic or applied science under 10+2+3 pattern of education from this university or any other recognized university with at least 55% of marks. |
M.Sc in Life Sciences | Candidates must possess bachelor’s degree in biological, physical or agricultural science or biotechnology under 10+2+3 pattern of education from this university or any other recognized university with at least 55% aggregate of marks. |
M.Sc in Physics | Candidate must possess Bachelor’s degree (with Physics as one of the subjects) under the 10+2+3 pattern of education with minimum 55% marks in the aggregate (or in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics combined), or in Physics Honours; Candidates having B.Tech. (Electronics/Electrical/ Mechanical/Computer) degree are also eligible to apply for M.Sc Physics |
MCACandidate must possess bachelor’s degree in any discipline with an aptitude in mathematics under 10+2+3 pattern of education with at least 55% marks in aggregate.
MBA/PGDMA Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university with at least 60% marks (55% for OBC and 45% FOR SC/ST/ PwD) is the desired eligibility criteria.
JNU MA, M.Sc, MCA & MBA Application Process
MA , M.Sc & MCAOnline Application:
- Candidates can register themselves for JNU Admission to M.Sc, MA, MCA & MBA programme through online application process available at the official university website.
- Application fee of INR 300 (INR 2000 for MBA Gen. category and INR 1000 for SC/ST/ PwD) should also be submitted along with completed applications through the online payment modes such as net banking, credit/ debit card etc.
Offline Application:
- Candidates can also request for the application form to be sent by post along with the prospectus by sending Crossed Demand Draft of INR 300 (INR 2000 for MBA Gen. category and INR 1000 for SC/ST/ PwD ) along with the self-addressed envelope.
- DD should be drawn in favour of “Jawaharlal Nehru University”, payable at New Delhi and the letter should clearly indicate the program of study for which the Application Form is required
- Natives of Nepal can also obtain the prospectus and application form by sending demand draft of amount Rs. 400/- or equivalent in USD
- Duly filled-in applications, in all respects, along with the copies of all the necessary enclosures should reach through registered post/ speed post at the following address:

Enclosures:
- Two self-attested copies of the Matriculation, Higher Secondary Pre-University of Indian School Certificate or Senior School Certificate (10+2) or an equivalent examination certificate, showing the age/date of birth of the candidate
- A Character Certificate from the Head of the Institution last attended
- Two self-attested copies of the statement of marks obtained by the candidate in Senior School or their equivalent examination
- SC/ST/OBC Certificate, if belonging to SC/ST/OBC category
- A Medical Certificate for PWD Candidates certifying nature & percentage of disability issued by the competent medical authority

JNU MA, M.Sc, MCA & MBA Admission Process
MA , M.Sc & MCA
- Selection of the candidate to M.Sc, MCA and MA (Except Foreign languages) is done on the basis of written entrance examination, conducted by the university.
- Admission for MA (Foreign languages) programme is done on the basis of written entrance exam (70%) and viva-voice (30%), both conducted by the university.
- CAT qualified candidates are only eligible for admission to MBA program.
JNU MBA Selection Process 2019
Final admission to JNU MBA program is a three-stage process. Whole criteria is discussed below:
Stage 1: Preliminary Shortlisting
1. Apply online for JNU MBA program from the official website along with a valid CAT score.
2. List of shortlisted candidates (on the basis of CAT score) will be displayed on JNU website.
Stage 2: Interview Round
1. Shortlisted candidates need to appear in an interview round on the mentioned dates.
Stage 3: Final Selection
1. Final admission is subject to candidates’ performance in CAT and Interview round.
2. 70% weightage will be given to the CAT score while 30% to Interview round.
3. The list of finally selected candidates will be published on the official JNU portal.
Seat Booking: Selected candidates have to confirm their seat by booking it on the official website of ‘JNU Atal Bihari Vajpayee School of Management and Entrepreneurship (ABVSME)’.
Reservation
27% seats are reserved for OBC candidates (non creamy layer), 15% & 7.5% of seats are reserved for SC and ST candidates respectively in all programs of study, 3% seats are reserved for Physically Challenged (Handicapped) candidates
The selection of candidates for MA, MSc and MCA programs will be based on their performance on the entrance examination conducted by the university. Candidates can enroll for the JNU 2019 Examination Exam by submitting an application fee of Rs. 300 / – through online payment methods or demand or non-application (DD) schemes.
