Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) head of CBSE performed. JEE Main 2017 Eligibility Criteria (Details)

  • Age Limit: applicant should not be born before 1 October 1992. And the age limit for the SC/ST/PwD applicants is 1 October 1987.

NoteDate of birth as recorded in the secondary school certificate (10th class) will be considered only.

  • 12th Pass
  • Mathematics subject along with min 75% marks (Aggregated) and 65% in case of applicant belonging to SC/ST category or be in top 20 percentile.
  • Year of Appearance for Class 12th or Equivalent Examination: Only those applicants, who have passed their class 12th exam or any other equivalent examination in 2015 or 2016; or those applicants, who are appearing in their class 12th exam or any other equivalent examination in 2017, are eligible to appear in Joint Entrance Examination Main 2017.
  • Number of Subjects in Class 12th or Equivalent Examination: Applicants must have taken at-least five subjects in class 12th or equivalent examination.
  • Number of Attempts: Only 3 attempts, applicants can make for Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main.

Mode of Fee Payment: Fee can be paid either by Net banking, Credit / Debit card or thru e-challan. In case of e-challan, the payment should be made in Syndicate / Canara / ICICI / HDFC Bank.

JEE Main 2017 Exam Pattern & Syllabus (Details)

Exam Pattern of JEE Main Paper-1 is given below:

  • Paper-1 is for engineering (B.E/B.Tech).
  • The paper-1 will be conducted online and offline. But applicants allow to choose only one exam mode.
  • JEE Main paper-1 will be objective type.
  • The question paper of JEE Main Paper-1 will be available in Hindi and English. However, applicants writing exam in Gujarat, Daman Diu, Dadra and Nagar Haveli will be able to write exam in Gujarati as well. Applicants have to fill question paper language while filling up the application form.
  • Duration of exam will be 3 hours but for the person with 40% or more disability, duration of exam will be 4 hour for them.
  • There will be negative marking of 1/4 marks for each wrong answer.

  • The paper-2 will be conducted offline mode only.
  • JEE Main Paper-2 will be objective type.
  • The question paper of JEE Main Paper-2 will be available in Hindi and English. However, applicants writing exam in Gujarat, Daman Diu, Dadra and Nagar Haveli will be able to write exam in Gujarati as well. Applicants have to fill question paper language while filling up the application form.

JEE Main 2017 Admit Card (Details)

The admit card of Joint Entrance Examination Main 2017 will be released on the official website of JEE Main. Joint Entrance Examination Main 2017 admit card will be available online only. Applicants have to download their admit card from official website of Joint Entrance Examination Main or applicants can also download the Joint Entrance Examination Main 2017 admit card from this website. Applicants are required to carry their admit card on the day of examination.

JEE Main 2017 Answer Key (Details)

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will release the official answer key of Joint Entrance Examination Main 2017. CBSE will upload the answer key on the official website of Joint Entrance Examination Main. The answer key will be released for both Paper-1 and Paper-2 (all sets).

JEE Main 2017 Cut Off (Details)

Joint Entrance Examination Main 2017 cut off will be announced by CBSE. The minimum marks will be fixed by the CBSE. Applicants are required to score equal or more than the cut off in order to qualify the exam. Cut off marks will be different for each category.

JEE Main 2017 Result (Details)

The result of Joint Entrance Examination Main 2017 will be released in two Parts. Part-1 will have marks which obtained by applicant in the exam. And Part-2 will disclose All India Rank (AIR) of the applicants. The seat will be allocated only on the basis of merit achieved by the applicant.

How Rank Prepare for JEE Main 2017

JEE Main 2017 rank will be purely calculated on the basis of applicant’s performance in the exam.

Note: Weightage system of 60:40 ratio is no longer applicable.

JEE Main 2017 Counselling Procedure (Details)

Joint Seat Allocation Authority, commonly known as JOSAA will conduct the counselling for admissions in IITs, ISM Dhanbad, NITs, IIITs and GFTIs (Government Funded Technical Institutes).
