CAT 2023: Registration Notification!

Introduction:

There are only 13 days left to submit your application for CAT 2023, which is slated for November 26. To finish your CAT 2023 registration by September 13, 2023, go to iimcat.ac.in. Additionally, the MBA International Business and MBA Business Analytics programs at the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade now accept CAT scores for admission, hence IIFT aspirants must sign up for and take part in CAT 2023.

Please be aware that this year’s CAT 2023 registration cost has increased. SC/ST/PwD applicants will pay INR 1,200, while General/NC-OBC candidates will be charged INR 2,400. The exam format is the same as it was the year before.

What is CAT exam?

Common Admission Test or CAT is a national level management aptitude test which is conducted by the IIM for admission to the MBA courses offered by its 20 campuses and over 1,200 B-schools in India. Every year, more than two lakh people enrol to take the CAT exam. Approximately 2.55 lakh students enrolled for the CAT 2022 exam, while approximately 2.22 lakh candidates showed up. Three sessions of the CAT exam are held on a single day at roughly 400 testing locations throughout 155 cities in India. Anyone interested in pursuing an MBA in the academic year 2024 must take the CAT exam because it is recognized by the majority of public and private MBA schools in India.

The three elements of the CAT exam—Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension (VARC), Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DILR), and Quantitative Ability (QA)—evaluate students’ business ability. The exam has a moderate to high level of difficulty. CAT scores are accepted for admission to Executive MBA, PhD, and FPM programs at IIMs and other business schools in addition to MBA programs.

Registrations for CAT 2023

The application procedure for CAT 2023 is still open. Candidates must register on the official CAT website before filling out the online application form. The steps for the CAT registration and application process in 2023 are as follows:

• Go to the official website: iimcat.ac.in
• Select “new registration.”
• Give your name, birth date, country, phone number, and email address while registering.
• Fill complete the application by logging in using the ID you received via email.
• Add your personal and academic information.
• Include a scanned copy of your signature and a current passport photo.
• Select your favorite IIMs and courses.
• To choose your favorite test city, click here.
• Pay the application fee online or with a credit/debit card.

CAT 2023 Admit Card

CAT admit card is an important document that needs to be downloaded before the exam. It is advised to have two copies, as one copy is to be submitted at the exam centre. On October 25, the CAT 2023 admission card is expected to be made available. It will contain  information like the test center’s address, the exam schedule, the reporting time, and other crucial information. The steps to download the CAT admission card for 2023 are as follows:

• Go to iimcat.ac.in to access the CAT website.
• Select the ‘login’ tab.
• Enter your password and CAT 2023 application number.
• Locate the part for the “admit card.”
• Select “download.”
