Mithila University was established on August 5, 1972 by an Ordinance of the Government of Bihar subsequently enacted through legislatures. The University is governed by the Bihar State Universities Act, 1976. The University was renamed as LALIT NARAYAN MITHILA UNIVERSITY vide University notification No. 6760-7244 dated 28 April, 1980.

The territorial jurisdiction of the University is spread over four districts of Bihar namely Madhubani, Darbhanga, Samastipur and Begusarai. The university has 43 constituent colleges and 25 affiliated colleges besides two government colleges – Darbhanga Medical College & Hospital and Rural Institute, Birouli, Samastipur. 42 constituent colleges and 07 affiliated colleges are registered under section 2 f and 12(B) of the U.G.C. Act, 1956. The univesity has a picturesque and lushgreen campus spread over an area of nearly 230 acres.

First Counselling Call letter has been released by the Lalit Narayan Mithila University. Candidates can download their call letter through the direct link given below by entering their Enrolment Number and clicking submit. After submitting they can download their Result and counselling letter.

Answer Key 2017

Answer key can be checked from the university website www.lnmu.ac.in and www.ddelnmu.ac.in. The same has been published after the Entrance Test. Candidates can check the answer keys online and same is also updated here or your convenience.

Hall Ticket/ Admit Card

Hall Tickets can be downloaded from the university website www.lnmu.ac.in and www.ddelnmu.ac.in from before the Entrance Test. Mere permission to take Entrance Test would not amount to acceptance of candidate’s eligibility for admission to B. Ed. programme. The final admission shall be subject to their merit in the CET 2017 and also production of proof of their eligibility along with original certificates and programme fee. Directorate reserves the right to change the date of Entrance Test.

Application Fee is Rs. 1000/- for both mode.

On or before the last date for submission of the admission form i.e. 13 May 2017, either by the candidates in person or by speed post/registered post/courier. The University will not be responsible for transit loss due to postal/courier service.

Eligibility Criteria

For Bachelor of Education B.Ed (Regular Mode) Programme

  • Candidates with at least 50% marks either in the Bachelor’s Degree (10+2+3) and/or Master’s Degree in Sciences/Social Sciences/Humanity, Bachelor, in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks or any other qualification equivalent thereto, are eligible for admission to the B.Ed. (Regular) programme.
  • The reservation in seats and relaxation in the qualifying marks for SC/ST/OBC/PWD and other categories shall be as per the rules of the Government of Bihar.

For Bachelor of Education B.Ed (Distance Mode) Programme

Following categories are eligible for admission to B. Ed. Distance Mode Programme:

  • Candidates having 50% marks in graduation/post-graduation.
  • Untrained teacher or
  • Trained in-service teachers in Elementary education or
  • Candidate who has completed a NCTE recognized teacher education programme through face-to-face mode.
  • The reservation in seats and relaxation in the qualifying marks for SC/ST/OBC/PWD and other categories shall be as per the rules of the Government of Biha

Entrance Exam Pattern

The Question booklet contains 120 objective questions each carrying one marks form the following aspects. Maximum Marks allotted to the test is 120. OMR Sheet/ Answer Sheet provided for answering. The composite time for the complete test is Two Hours
