Indira Gandhi Agricultural University (IGAU)  is a public university located in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, India established 1987.  IGAU is recognized by UGC and has 15 affiliated colleges and 16 constituent colleges and offers a range of education in professional and academic courses in three faculties i.e. Agriculture, Horticulture and Agricultural Engineering. The University offers admission to following UG program for the year.

  • Bachelor of Science in Agriculture – B.Sc. (Ag.)
  • Bachelor of science in Horticulture – B.Sc. (Hort.)
  • B.Tech (Bachelor of Technology)

Candidates with the relevant qualification can register for the above-mentioned programs. The university provides reservation of seats/ relaxation of marks for SC/ST/OBC etc. as per the rules of the Government and norms of the university.

Candidates can register for admission by filling the online application form and submit the required processing fee, on or before the last date. Admission to above programs is done on the basis of merit of the candidate in entrance test (PAT /PET).

Admission Eligibility

Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] (Agriculture) & Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] (Horticulture Science)

  • The candidate should not be more than 25 years of age as on the date of admission.
  • The candidate must be holding the domicile of Chhattisgarh or must have studied 10th and 12th from schools or colleges located at Chhattisgarh
  • Candidate should have obtained first division /50% marks / equivalent grade at 10+2 level in the subjects of Mathematics, physics and Chemistry/ biology/ biotechnology from Chhattisgarh board or any recognized board of school education in the country.
  • 5% relaxation in aggregate marks is given to SC/ST/OBC/ Physically Challenged applicants of Chhattisgarh.

BE/B.Tech

  • The candidates must be holding the domicile of Chhattisgarh or must have studied 10th and 12th from schools or colleges located at Chhattisgarh
  • Candidate should have obtained first division /50% marks / equivalent grade at 10+2 level in the subjects of Mathematics, physics and Chemistry/ biology from Chhattisgarh board or any recognized board of school education in the country.

How To Apply

The candidates can apply for admissions by filling and submitting the complete online application form along with the required amount of processing fee and important documents before the last date. Candidate can log on to the following website and follow these steps:

  • Ensure the eligibility criteria and possession of an active mail-ID
  • Download the application form in required format
  • Fill up all correct details in Application Form
  • Upload the required documents
  • Pay the application fees either through online mode by using their debit/credit card or net banking option. Fees can also be paid offline via challan that must be submitted in the branches of SBI or ICICI.
  • Submit the application form by clicking on submit.
  • Candidate must keep the hard copy of application form for future reference.

Candidates are directed to submit the soft copies of the following documents along with application form:

  • Domicile Certificate
  • Caste Certificate, wherever applicable
  • Certificate showing date of birth
  • Mark sheet/Certificate of the qualifying examination

Admission Process

Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] (Agriculture) , Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] (Horticulture Science) & Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Agricultural Engineering)

Admission to above courses shall be based on the merit to be determined by the entrance examination (CG PAT /PET), provided the candidates fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria.

The entrance test for the above course shall be based on the syllabus of the qualifying degree.​

Counselling:

The candidates who are selected in the entrance examination/ merit list are required to participate in the interview/counseling process. Such candidates are directed to bring the application form, photocopies and the originals of the attached documents for the purpose of verification viz.

  • Mark Sheet/Grade Sheet of the qualifying degree course
  • Character Certificate from the Dean/Head/Principal of the University/Institution last attended
  • Migration Certificate from the competent authority of the University/Institution last attended
