PU B.Ed Admission 2017 – The University of Punjab has issued a notice of admission to B.Ed. (General), B.Ed. (Yoga) and B.Ed. Special Education (Mental Retreat) in education colleges affiliated with the University of Punjab, Chandigarh is only U.T. Chandigarh. Admission to the following courses will be through a centralized dashboard. PU B.Ed Admission 2017

Candidates seeking admission to Panjab University must complete the application form from the official website of the University of Punjab on schedule. Admission is based solely on merit. Policy of admission to EU colleges, Chandigarh is as follows.

UT 60% pool: Outside of the total sanctioned establishment intake, 60% of seats will be filled out among students who have passed their qualifying examination for universities recognized by the Chandigarh Administration, located in EU territory Chandigarh as a normal college student / interested institutions, provided that these students have studied for two years at Chandigarh graduation and passed a lower qualifying examination with local colleges / establishments. These seats will be called “UT pool”.

General pool 40%: of the total intake sanctioned by the institutions, 40% of the seats will be filled from students who have passed their recognized qualifying examination institutions other than those located in the territory of the Union of Chandigarh or other way. These seats will be called “General Swimming Pool”. Candidates who have completed their studies or diploma after graduation from distance mode will be considered as part of this group.

PU B.Ed 2017 Application Form

Applicants must complete the online application form on the official website of the University of Punjab. Before completing the online form, applicants must clearly understand the procedure. The candidate must block each section (Profile, Categories, topics, etc.) in their entry, without which the candidate can not print the application form.

Eligibility criteria

A person with the following requirements is entitled to participate in:

Candidates with at least 50% in bachelor’s and / or master’s degrees in science / social sciences / humanities / business / Science Home / B.B.A / B.C.A, B.A.LL.B., B.Com.LL.B. Or any other title equivalent to it, are eligible to be admitted to the program. However, in calculating the credit, graduation grades will only be taken into account. There will be a 5% relaxation for SC / ST / PCD candidates. Candidates with less than 45% marks in these categories will not be eligible.

Bachelor’s degrees in engineering or technology specializing in science

Admission Criteria

The merit of each candidate shall be determined on the basis of marks secured by him or her in the qualifying degree i.e. graduation only.
The combined merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks secured by the candidates in the qualifying examination i.e. graduation.
The allocation of college will be made through face-to-face counseling by the authorized committee.
Admission to B.Ed. shall be done through two counseling as per the schedule notified by the University. However, one time shifting will be allowed during second counseling only on the charges specified by the university.
The counseling schedule will be prepared by the Authorized Committee constituted by the Vice Chancellor.
All seats in the B.Ed. colleges of U.T. Chandigarh will be filled through centralized face-to-face counseling by the university.
The decision taken by the authorized committee constituted by the Vice Chancellor will be final with regard to the process of filling up of seats remaining vacant after the completion of second counseling.
During counseling, major and minor subjects would be allotted by the University. Allocation of seat at time of counselling does not mean confirmation of admission. The admission will be confirmed by the concerned college after checking and verification of documents.
Candidates have to bring all original certificates along with one set of photocopies and 2 passport size photographs at the time of counseling.
Candidates having CGPA score in qualifying examination are required to fill the marks by converting their CGPA score into marks using approved formula of respective University. Candidate is also required to bring approved formula for conversion of CGPA score at the time of counselling. (Conversion should be done as follows: After converting CGPA score into percentage, suppose candidates has got 78% after conversion, then marks obtained will be 78 and maximum marks will be 100).
Seat Intake

Note: Admission to above mentioned colleges is subject to approval by the Panjab University, Chandigarh as per NCTE directions issued vide letter no. 93-652/2016/NCTE/Insp./55377 dated 22/06/2017 for admission in Teacher Education Institutes.
