The process of Conversion of seats during Second Round of Seat Allotment: –

The seat conversion is done in case of non-availability of reserved category candidates when respective seats are still lying vacant. eg.:- If ST seat remains unfilled due to non-availability of ST candidate; those seats will be converted to SC seats. If SC seat remains vacant, those seats will be converted to ST seats. If after conversion, PC/SC/ST/OBC candidates are not available, those seats will be converted to UR and allotted to UR candidates. The conversion of seats as per the following algorithm:

In the second round, seats will be allotted against the access opening and furthermore against the virtual opening (resultant opportunities by virtue of up gradation of choices or the seats which are probably going to get emptied amid up-gradation and change of seats).

The seat conversion is done if there should arise an occurrence of non-accessibility of saved classification applicants when particular seats are as yet lying empty. eg.:- If ST situate stays unfilled due to non-accessibility of ST competitor; those seats will be changed over to SC seats. On the other one that SC situate stays empty, those seats will be changed over to ST seats. In the event that after transformation, PC/SC/ST/OBC applicants are not accessible, those seats will be changed over to UR and dispensed to UR competitors. The transformation of seats according to the accompanying calculation:

  • PC -> UR
  • ST -> SC and vice versa and then to UR
  • OBC A-> OBC B and vice versa and finally to UR
