The SAT is a standardized test that is administered by the college board and must be taken by students who apply to be admitted to primary schools. The full form of the SAT is the Scholastic Assessment Test, formerly known as the Scholastic Aptitude Test. The SAT exam was developed to assess the candidate’s written, oral and mathematical skills. Applicants wishing to undertake basic studies, particularly in the United States and Canada, must take the SAT exam. If the student is seeking admission to a particular course, he can take the SAT subject exams to demonstrate his knowledge and understanding of this particular subject. Technical tests are offered in areas such as literature, history, mathematics, science and foreign languages.

CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) ALERT: The College Board canceled SAT exams in May due to the coronavirus outbreak. The makeup exams of March 14, 2020, scheduled for March 28, 2020, were also canceled. Registered students receive reimbursements from the college council. The College Board will offer future SAT testing opportunities as soon as it is possible to organize exams. In addition, the exam scheduled for June 6, 2020 has not been canceled. In the coming days, the College Board will release additional information and details.

The College Board recently launched SAT in India. Students wishing to pursue higher education at leading universities in India would be pleased to know that the College Board launched an alliance for higher education in India in 2018 with various academic institutions. All university members of the alliance accept the SAT results for the admission of Indian and international students. Therefore, students who study abroad and also wish to apply to universities can take the SAT test.
