1st Provisional Admission Lists for 60% Candidates (at Home) Candidates have been published for MA / M.Sc / M.Com according to the appendix. Candidates must pay the fees from July 25, 2017 to July 27, 2017. See the list of candidates from the link below.

Registration fees

March. 150 / – for general and Rs. 50 / – for candidates SC / ST / OBC of the State of West Bengal only in the production of relevant certificates.
M.Sc – Rs. 150 / – for general applicants and Rs. 60 / – for candidates SC / ST / OBC of the State of West Bengal and GLP / PwD only in the production of the relevant certificates.
NB The fees are subject to such modification as may be deemed necessary by the competent authority.

Eligibility criteria

Candidates holding an honorary degree [10 + 2 + 3 system] in the respective subject of a recognized university are eligible for admission to M.Sc. / M.A. course. Candidates who have passed the UG exam three years earlier or more prior to the year of admission are not eligible for admission to M.Sc. / MA (for example, UG in 2014 or earlier can not be admitted for admission to the PG courses of the 2017-2018 session).

For M.A Cours

Graduate Honors [10 + 2 + 3 system] in History / Political Science / Geography / Economics / Sociology / Anthropology are eligible for admission to M.A. in strategic and regional studies.
Honors graduates [10 + 2 + 3 system] in journalism and mass communication or honorary graduates in any other discipline are eligible for admission to M.A. in mass communication.
BA Honors [10 + 2 + 3 system] in History / Political Science / Honors / Major system [10 + 2 + 3] in rural development, Economics / Sociology / Philosophy / Social Work / Geography / Anthropology or Honor in another subject are eligible for admission to MA in Rural Development.
For MA in Rural Development: Graduate Honors in History / Political Science / Economics / Sociology / Philosophy / Social Work / Geography / Anthropology or other subjects can only be considered after reviewing the honors / Major in Rural Development and BA With a postgraduate degree in rural development.
For the course of M.Sc

For microbiology: honorary graduates in biotechnology, biochemistry, biophysics, molecular biology, chemistry, life sciences, botany, zoology, physiology can only be considered after examining honorary microbiology.
For anthropology: Honors in Sociology / Geography / Zoology / Botany / Physics / Chemistry may be considered for admission to anthropology only after examining honorary graduates in anthropology.
For Tea Science: Honne graduates in any branch of Science and Agriculture
For biotechnology: Seven students will be drawn from the DBT panel and three seats will be filled by NBU graduates with 55% points [for SC, ST and PwD 50%] in the physical sciences, biological sciences, pharmacy , Engineering and technology, medicine and dentistry can be considered.
For MCA – Thirty students will be removed from the JECA panel. Eligibility: Graduates or equivalent under (10 + 2 + 3) in any discipline of a University / Institute recognized by the UGC or AICTE recognized as a B.E./B.Tech./BCA of a University / Institute. The candidate must have mathematics as one of the subjects at each level of education. Candiadte must earn a mark of 60% [55% points for candidates SC / ST / OBC-A / OBC-B and PwD] at each level of education.
Admission Procedure

Admission to all courses must be made on the basis of the selection principles that can be defined.

A student admitted to a ministry will not be permitted to transfer to any other ministry.

Those who will be declared eligible for admission will have to pay all fees charged for admission within a set time limit. They must submit two affidavits to curb the threat of ragging (one by the candidate and another by the parent / guardian) signed by before a Notary, to this office at the time of admission which will remain in force during the whole tenure of the course of study.

If a student selected for admission does not get himself/herself admitted within the specified time he/she will forfeit his/her claim for admission.

The name of a student shall be struck off from the Roll if he/she fails to attend 50% of the classes held during the first 7 teaching days. A student has to attend at least 75% of the classes and tutorials held in a Semester to be eligible to sit for the Examination.

A student who wants to join this University on migration from another University shall have to submit a Migration Certificate and Registration Fee of Rs. 250/- within one month from the date of admission.

Online application for admission in M.Sc./M.A. course is mandatory for all potential incumbents. Candidates are instructed to visit www.nbu.ac.in for detail information regarding online application.

After admission if at any point of time during the tenure of the course it is detected that marksheet/s submitted and/or the information given by the candidate is/are forged/false, the admission of the candidate will be cancelled by the authority forthwith.
