This year, it has been ordered by the Supreme Court of India that the NEET score will be adopted as a single window admission criteria for entry into Medical and Dental courses across India. However, of the total 100% seats, 15% of the seats are reserved for the All India quota, while 85% of the seats are reserved for State Quota entries.

Punjab MBBS / BDS 2017 Counselling Procedure

As of now, the details are that there will be 2 rounds of online counselling and 1 round of physical counselling which is nothing but your document verification/interview session.here the candidates will be required to produce all the original documents to the officials. We have mentioned all the rounds briefly. Have a look.

1st round of Counselling Procedure

Candidates after registering in online mode will be able to see the merit list displayed as per the schedule has been mentioned in the above table. There will be 2 rounds of Online counseling and 1 round of physical counselling from 17 July 2017 to 21 July 2017. The result of 01st round of counselling will be published on 24 July 2017.  After all these steps, the candidates are offered a seat in the indicated course/college on provisional basis. Those who are selected must reach the centre and condfirm their seat by paying the course fee by 31 July 2017. You will also undergo document verification. After checking of the original documents and eligibility, Principal of the respective college shall issue you a bank challan for deposition of tuition fee at any branch of Oriental Bank of Commerce or SBI Bank. The seat is confirmed only after the candidate fulfills the admission criteria as per the policy of the institutes.

The candidate who is satisfied with his allotted seat and the course/ he may join the colleges. However, if the candidate is not satisfied, he shall attend the 02nd round of counselling from 08 August 2017 to 13 August 2017 fresh. You will not need to deposit the application fees again.

2nd round of counselling procedure

The next round of counselling shall begin from 08 August 2017 to 13 August 2017. The list of the candidates selected shall be displayed on 18 August 2017. At this stage, the candidates who are going to join the college and deposit the fees must do so by 25 August 2017.

Physical Counselling

Physical counselling refers to the physical appearance of the candidates at the time of counselling or interview. No candidate is allowed to miss the physical counselling. In this session, the candidates shall have to bring all the original certificates/degrees/diplomas/ documents at the time of physical counseling/joining/admission in respective colleges for final selection. At the time of physical counselling, the candidates will exercise the option of course/ institution. The institute will not display any waiting list.

Eligibility Criteria

Age- the candidate must be more than 17 years of age as on 31 December 2017 (candidates born after 02 January 2001 are not eligible to apply
NEET 2017- the candidate must have qualified NEET 2017 qualifying examination
New Registration

The process of registration is online. The official website that is to be referred is bfuhs.ac.in Those who are eligible to apply for the admission into the course will have to register themselves on the database of the the university. Candidates can CLICK HERE to register. When you click the link, the candidates will be directed to a new page, where they will see an icon under “New Registration”. Click the link. And then read the instructions carefully.

Step 1 – Fill Registration Form

Fill the registration form carefully. You will be required to fill certain particulars which we have displayed below through the following image:-

Fill the required particulars such as:- Name, Father Name, NEET Roll Number, NEET Marks, NEET All India Rank, NEET Percentile, Category, Minority Status, Date of Birth, Gender, Permanent Address, Correspondence Address, State, District./ City, Mobile Number, Email, Aadhaar Number, 12th class board roll number, 12th PCB marks in total, 12th class PCB marks obtained. “Save and proceed”

Before you proceed to next step, you will receive a Registration No. and Password on your registered mobile and Email. Now deposit the fee depending on your category.

Fees can be paid in any Branch of Oriental Bank of Commerce or SBI Bank through challan. If the amount has been paid using online net banking., you shall receive the pay slip immediately. However, if the fees has been paid using through Bank Challan, the same will be confirmed in the candidate’s login account after 2 days.

Step 2 – Uploading of scanned Photo,Signature,Left Thumb impression

At this stage, the candidates are required to Upload their scanned passport size of Photograph. The file should be according to the specifications mentioned. Photograph pasted must be latest and identical. Take special care to note that the Name is printed at bottom of the photograph Uploaded alongwith Date.

Step 3 – Print Application

After fulfilling these formalities, the candidates can take print out of the application form. It will be automatically locked after cut off date. There is no need to send this printout to the institution.

According to the prospectus issued, the university is yet to publish its seat matrix based on the intake capacity in each course and affiliated institutions. Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) is a first professional degree in medicine and surgery which is awarded to candidates after they complete the course of 5.5 years which includes 4.5 years of curriculum plus one year of internship. Recently, Government of India added additional one year of internship plus one year of rural posting. It is a highly competitive exam which requires perseverance and efficiency.

Punjab MBBS Admission 2017 Overview

There are three government medical colleges in Punjab and some medical colleges which runs under the Trusts. The colleges that are run by Trusts are located in Bhatinda, Gurdaspur, Ludhiana and Jalandhar. The government medical colleges are situated in Patiala, Amritsar and Faridkot.   The Hon’ble Supreme court has issued notice to all State Govt & Medical Council that from now there shall be Single Entrance Test for UG & PG courses in India. The candidate willing to get admission in MBBS/ BDS colleges in Punjab has to register the application form at www.cbseneet.nic.in.
