UGAT Cut off

The UGAT cut-off for further admission process in BBA – MBA Programme are as follows:

• All India Category : 88 Percentile
• NRI Sponsored Category : 70 Percentile

Eligibility Criteria

Number of Seats: 120

(A) All India Category (65%)

65% of total in-take shall be filled from the candidates who have passed the qualifying examination from schools located in India (including Gujarat State) and have appeared for UGAT for the corresponding academic year.

• Candidates should have passed Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC)/(10+2) Examination or any other equivalent examination recognised by Nirma University with minimum 60% aggregate marks with English as one of the subjects.
• The age of the candidates shall be not more than 20 years as on 1st July of the year of admission.

(B) Gujarat State category (20%)

20% of the total in-take shall be filled from the candidates who have passed the qualifying examination from the schools located in the State of Gujarat.

• Candidates should have passed Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC)/(10+2) Examination or any other equivalent examination recognised by Nirma University with minimum 90% aggregate marks with first attempt and English as one of the subjects.
• The age of the candidates shall be not more than 20 years as on 1st July of the year of admission.

(C) NRI category (15%)

15% of the total intake will be filled by Institute of Management, Nirma University with following eligibility criteria.

(a) For NRI Candidates

• Candidate must have passed the qualifying examination with 60% aggregate marks from abroad.
• The age of the candidates shall be not more than 20 years as on 1st July of the year of admission.
• Candidate will have to produce equivalence certificate of qualifying examination from Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi.

(b) For NRI Sponsored Candidates

• Candidates should have passed Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) Examination (10+2) or any other equivalent examination recognized by Nirma University with minimum 60% aggregate marks with English as one of the subjects.
• The age of the candidates shall be not more than 20 years as on 1st July of the year of admission.
• Candidate must have passed the qualifying examination in India and must have appeared in UGAT-2017.

(D) BBA-MBA Admissions- CIWGC-SEA/PIO/FN Categories (5%)

Over and above the intake  of 120, 5% are also allocated Children of Indian Workers of Gulf countries and South East Asia (CIWGC-SEA) and 10% are allocated to Person of Indian Origin (PIO)/Foreign Nationals (FN) Categories

• CIWGC-SEA: The candidates whose parent are working at Gulf countries  or South East Asia are only eligible under this category.
• PIO: The Persons who are citizens of other countries (except Pakistan and Bangladesh) who at any time held an Indian Passport, or who or either of his parents  or any of his grand parents was a citizen of India by virtue of the provisions of the Constitution of India or Sec 2 (b) of Citizenship Act, 1955 ( Act No. 57 of 1955) are only eligible under this category.
• FN: The citizens of all countries other than India, who are not of  Indian origin as defined under PIO are eligible under this category.

BBA-MBA Selection Process

Candidates shortlisted on the basis of their performance in the Admission Test [UGAT] will be called for Personal Interview. The interview will be conducted in selected cities viz Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Indore, Delhi, Jaipur, and Mumbai. The candidates will be finally selected for admission based on the candidates’ performance in the Admission Test, Personal Interview and Academic Performance in XII.

All India Category (65%)

The final selection shall be determined based on the following criteria:

• Weightage of UGAT scores : 50%
• Weightage of performance in Personal Interview : 30%
• Academic performance in qualifying examination : 20%

For Gujarat State category (20%)

The final selection shall be determined based on the following criteria:

• Weightage of the qualifying examination : 70%
• Weightage of performance in Personal Interview : 30%
