The program is open to candidates of all categories with a bachelor’s degree in Technology / Technology / Msc or equivalent academic degrees (AMIE, etc.) and has a valid GATE score. Note: All common category candidates (except those who have B.Tech. degrees from an IIT with a minimum CPI of 8.0) must have a valid score of Graduate Aptitude Test Engineering (GATE). Candidates seeking access to M.Tech. The Institute’s program must contain at least 60% marks (or a CGPA of 6.5 in 10 point scale) for General / OBC categories and 55% brands (or a CGPA of 6.0 in 10 point scale) for SC / ST categories in the Final qualification exam. All selected candidates must issue the certificate with regard to the grades that are secured in the final exam no later than 31-10-2017. Reservation of seats for SC, ST, OBC (Non-cream layer) and PD categories: As per. Govt. By Indian rules. OBC (including OBC Minorities) (Non-creamy) candidates must enclose a certificate and declaration of self-declaration in accordance with the prescribed format in Annexes I, II and III (as applicable), which are available with the application form.

Application Form

Candidates are requested to use the following link to fill and submit application form online for IIT Patna M.Tech Admission 2017. Candidates are advised that they must ensure their eligibility before applying online application form.
You are requested to send final submitted application generated online duly signed along with copies of mark sheets/certificates and other testimonials (both sides). The completed application enclosed with the payment details (e-receipt) for application fee and attested copies of mark sheets/certificates and with other necessary enclosures (if applicable) should be sent to the The Assistant Registrar (Academics), Indian Institute of Technology Patna, Bihta, Kanpa Road, District – Patna, Bihar, PIN – 801106, to reach on or before date mentioned in the advertisement. Note: Those applying for more than one specialization should make separate application for each specialization. They have to pay separate application fee for each specialization.

Application Fee
Application Fee of Rs. 300/- (for Gen/OBC candidates) and Rs.150/- (for ST/SC/PD/Female candidates) must be submitted through online module. A copy of payment e-receipt should be sent through the application form.

The Institute admits M.Tech. students under the following categories:
Regular (Full Time)
These are students who work full-time for their M.Tech. degrees and receive assistantships from the Institute or fellowship from any other organization funding agency.

Sponsored (Full Time)
A candidate in this category is sponsored by a organization R&D organization, academic institution, governmental organization or industry for doing M.Tech. in the Institute on a full-time basis. The applicant must be a regular employee of his/her organization with at least two years of experience at the time of admission and be engaged in professional work in the discipline in which admission is sought. He/She will not receive any financial support from the Institute. Sponsorship letter (Form I, available with the application form) must be attached with the duly filled in application form.
