CAT 2017 – November 26, 2017
Indian institutes of management will conduct test on 26 November 2017 – CAT 2017 (Common Admission Test). The examination takes place in two sessions: The schedule for sessions 1 and 2 will be given during the admit card.
Registration – 9th August , 2017
CAT Registration 2017 has started on iimcat.ac.in from 9th August 2017. Interested and eligible aspirants can apply online by filling details in online application form. Registration will end on October 18, 2017. Registration fee is Rs 900 for SC, ST, PwD candidates, and Rs 1800 for all others.
A valid CAT score will be used for admission to management programs in IIMs and B Schools in India.

CAT Registration 2017
Fill and submit the online application form in order to appear in Common Admission Test 2017.
- Application form of CAT 2017 has to be submitted in online mode.
- Application process will start from 9th August 2017 and end on 20th September 2017.
- All the applications shall be accepted through the online portal of CAT 2017 official website.
- The first step in the application is the CAT 2017 Registration process.
- Once, that has been covered applicant receives login credentials by SMS and email.
- Using the credential details, aspirants will proceed to fill up the application form.
Application Form Correction in CAT 2017: Candidates should provide the following information: Basic details, Details of the Kommunikation, Educational details, Work experience, Selection of ITNs to submit on request, Selection of the Zentren test and Zentrum der Interview, Downloading scanned images of La Photography and signature according to specifications. CAT 2017 Important Details
What’s new: Major changes in IIM CAT 2017 include increase in number of test cities and registration fees. Common Admission Test will be held in over 140 cities as compared to 137 last time. Registration fees has been increased to Rs 1800 for General OBC (as compared to 1700 last year) and Rs 900 for SC / ST / PwD (as compared to 850 last year).

CAT Eligibility Criteria 2017
Eligible aspirants can submit appear in Common Admission Test.
- Those in posession of Bachelors Degree with at least 50% marks or equivalent in CGPA (45% for SC, ST, PwD) are eligible to appear in CAT 2017.
- Degree needs to be from a University or educational institution incorporated by Act of Parliament or State Legislature or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of UGC Act 1956 or an equivalent qualification recognized by HRD.
- Percentage marks calculation will be done on basis of marks practices of University / institution.
- If University / institution does not have scheme for CGPA to marks conversion then CGPA will be converted to percentage by multiplying with 100.
- Candidates appearing in final year of Bachelors degree and those who have appeared and waiting for result can also appear in CAT Exam 2017.
- CA / CS / ICWA professional degree completed candidates with requisite percentage can also apply.

CAT Exam 2017 Syllabus
It is hard to arrive at any specific syllabus for CAT, since the exam pattern suggests that the syllabus is nonstatic. However, CAT experts mention that some of the questions are from class 8th to graduation level. They have divided CAT syllabus into 3 sections

Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension– Correction in Sentence, Grammar or English Usage, Synonyms, Antonyms, Fill in the blanks, Jumbled Paragraph and Close Passage, Analogies and Reverse Analogies, Meaning/Usage Match, Verbal Reasoning, Summary Questions, Reading Comprehension and Facts Inferences Judgements.
#2. Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning– Caselets and Tables, Bar Graphs and Column Graphs, Venn Diagrams,Number and letter Series,Line Charts & Pie Chart,Calendars, Cubes and Clocks, Binary Logic, Seating Arrangement, Syllogism, Logical, Matching, Logical Sequence, Logical, Connectives, and Blood Relations.

Selection Process through CAT exam scores
The CAT selection process is such that CAT 2017 instead of the results of the percentile score of the candidates is announced. A percentile is essentially the position of the candidates for the examination, among all the participants. So if a total of 10 students have ordered an audit and is 2, then there is your rank eight students who got less than you. Therefore, your 80 percentile will be.
Getting Selected in IIMs – The cutoff for IIMs goes as high as 99.99 percentile. Some of the best IIMs like Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Indore, etc usually do not settle for anything less than 97-98 percentile. However, there are other prestigious institutes which do grant admission on a little less percentile as well.
Selection Process of IIMs and other B-Schools:
There will be no common 2017th CAT-Tip Instead, each institution will call CAT skills individually for registration. The colleges list candidates on the basis of the CAT score and percentile, and they call for interview and / or around GDPI. Only candidates to include in the list application that apply to the respective university separately.
The final selection will be based on CAT 2017, as well as performance in maintenance or GDPI. Some of the IIM and other universities will also qualify for training, work experience, etc. During the final selection.
