First, students shifted from many entrance exams to one; NEET had replaced all other medical entrance exams, except AIIMS and JIPMER. Then they appeared for the single exam and later found out that question papers in regional languages were different. Hasty PILs and requests led to stay on CBSE NEET UG 2017 exam proceedings. The date on which NEET Result – June 8, 2017 – came and went, with no sign of either result or notice by CBSE. Finally, Supreme Court came to rescue and asked CBSE to go ahead with its processes.

After that, OMR answer sheets and responses were displayed on June 13 and 14, 2017. Answer key was released on June 15, 2017. Login to submit discrepancies in answer keys was closed at 5 PM on June 16, 2017.

The usual process after display of answer keys is that Board prepares a final version of answer key. Using that, it calculates marks of test takers. Then as per marks, merit list is prepared.

Is it feasible for CBSE to declare NEET 2017 Result on June 19, 2017?

Perhaps. News reports have claimed that CBSE is ready with the result. If that is true, then the process of uploading result can start on June 19, 2017.

In the meantime, only two other medical entrance exams that took place namely AIIMS and JIPMER, have announced the result.

Nishita Purohit from Gujarat topped the list in AIIMS entrance exam. Nipun Chandra from Odisha bagged the first rank in JIPMER entrance exam.

For the 11 lakh plus students who appeared for National Eligibility and Entrance Test on May 7, 2017, only one question has been haunting – When will CBSE declare NEET 2017 Result?
