Eligibility criteria

The candidate must be
All Board India
For technical schools or establishments approved by the central or state
(At least 45% of grades for retroactive classroom candidates and persons with disabilities belonging solely to the state of Maharashtra). Candidates have a diploma or equivalent in the field of engineering / technology in 2017 must produce the certificate of accreditation by August 24, 2017.

The Aptitude Testing Engineering (GATE) conducted by the Indian Institute of
technology

For sponsored candidates, minimum of two years of full time work experience in a registered firm/
company/ industry/ educational and/ or research institute/ any Government Department or
Government Autonomous Organization in the relevant field in which admission is being sought. These Candidates are exempted from obtaining GATE score. (The Sponsored Candidates Should have required Experience on 21st th July 2017.)
Note

*Candidates appeared Bachelor degree or equivalent in the relevant field of Engineering/Technology in 2017 should produce Mark sheet/Passing Certificate by 10th of August 2017.
**Candidates who have appeared for GATE 2017 and have marks below qualifying marks may also apply on the basis of Marks obtained out of 100 [Candidates appeared for GATE 2016 and have marks above qualifying marks are only eligible for admission through CAP].
Preparation of Merit List

Assignment of merit number : All eligible Candidates who have submitted Application Form on or before the last date specified for the submission of Application Form for Admission through CAP shall be assigned a merit number. .

Change of Marks due to verification : If the marks in the qualifying examination are modified due to verification and the same is duly certified by the concerned Competent Authority or Board, the same shall be reported to the Competent Authority for admission through CAP or its designated representatives immediately. However the effect of such change will be taken into consideration only for the subsequent round (s) of admission.

Important Instruction For Cunselling

The List of the institutes identified as Facilitation Centers (FC) and Admission reporting Centers
(ARC) is available on the website.
The candidates are required to produce the documents in original documents for verification and
Confirmation of Application Form at FC.
Candidates are advised to keep the necessary documents ready and scan all the documents.
If candidates fail to confirm online filled Application Form at FC, then such applications will be
rejected and name of such candidates will not appear in the merit list(s) prepared for the purpose of
Admission for both CAP as well as non-CAP process.
The candidates belonging to SC, VJ/DT (NT (A), NT (B), NT(C), NT (D), OBC and SBC categories should produce “Caste Validity Certificate” issued by Scrutiny Committee of Social Welfare Department and the Candidate belonging to ST category should submit “Tribe Validity Certificate” issued by Scrutiny Committee of Tribal Department. All Backward Class candidates excluding SC & ST should produce Non Creamy Layer certificate valid up to 31st March 2018 at the time of verification of documents at FC, if these candidates are not able to produce the Non Creamy Layer certificate, then such candidates will be treated as GENERAL category candidates and such candidates will not be able to claim Reserved seats in the admission process.
Reserved category candidates unable to produce Caste/Tribe Validity Certificate are required
produce Proforma H on Rs.100/- Non Judicial Bond Paper for verification.
The Seat Acceptance fees is to be paid online or by Demand Draft in favour of ‘Commissioner,
State CET Cell, Maharashtra State, Mumbai’ payable “at Par” or “at Mumbai’.
