About this course: Are you an educator? Have you ever wanted to understand more about how to design your classroom to make better use of educational technology – either online or in mixed environments? Do you want to learn from those with extensive hands-on experience with online technologies?
The MOOC learn to teach online (LTTO) will help you develop a practical understanding of online teaching strategies successfully, you can apply to your own practice. The course is based on the award-winning open educational program developed by Dr. Simon McIntyre and Karin Watson.
Integrating online technologies into their teaching can be a daunting challenge, and it can be difficult to know how to deal effectively for the benefit of students and yourself. No one knows your own content and strengths better than you teach, and the “one size fits all” formula does not always match everything. No matter what type of technology is interested in exploring or level of experience, this course will help you take advantage of your teaching strengths and find the approach that is right for you, your students and their educational background.
This course will guide you throughout your journey to understand how online technologies can improve the design of your course. You will have the opportunity to develop their understanding of effective online teaching practices and their relationship with the use of different technologies. It will also promote design and reflect gradually to their own learning activity online resource assessment or for use in its own class if you decide to do course assignments.
