Central University of Rajasthan (CURAJ) is one of the 15 Central universities in India which was established in the year of 2009. The university is situated in Ajmer, Rajasthan, India.

CURAJoffers various UG, PG and Ph.D. level programs in the fields of Science, Arts, Commerce, Architecture, English & Comparative Literature, Linguistics, Education, Pharmaceutics and Management Studies.

• Candidates can apply in online mode only.
• Admission in all the UG and PG courses is done through Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET), which is an all-India test organized by ten Central Universities together.
• Admission to Ph.D programs is done on the basis of merit in CUCET followed by an Interview conducted by the university itself.

• For all Courses, 15% seats are reserved for Scheduled Caste (SC), 7.5% for Scheduled Tribe (ST), 27% for non-creamy layer OBC candidates. Besides, candidates belonging to differently abled category (i.e. Visually Handicapped, hearing impaired, and orthopedically handicapped category) is also entitled to reservation as per UGC/Government of India guidelines as adopted by the University time to time.
• Any other reservation (Kashmiri migrants etc.) will be as per UGC/Govt. of India guidelines and as adopted by the University from time to time

• Eligible International students (foreign nationals and NRI) will be admitted directly without appearing in the Entrance Test against the supernumerary seats to the extent of 10% of the total seats in a programme.

At the undergraduate level, Central University of Rajasthan offers a career oriented vocational program in the field of Interior Designing. The duration for the program is 3 years.

Admission to the B.Voc programme is done through an entrance test known as Central University Common Entrance Test (CUCET) which is conducted by the university itself.

All these PG level programs take two years to complete the course duration.

Candidates must need to hold a Bachelor’s degree in the relevant discipline from a recognized university to be eligible for the above mentioned courses. They need to appear either in Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) or Central University Common Entrance Test (CUCET) followed by an interview.

CURAJ also offers integrated programs at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. At the UG level, it provides integrated programme leading to Dual degrees such as B.Sc+M.Sc, M.Sc+B.Ed. The integrated B.Sc+M.Sc programme takes five years while M.Sc+B.Ed. programs takes three years to complete the course duration. Both the programs are provided with a number of specializations.

All these PG programs hold a duration period of two years. At the doctoral level, Central University of Rajasthan offers Ph.D programme with numerous specializations to the research aspirant candidates. Intake per discipline will be subject to availability of seats and will be displayed on University website. The duration period also varies for different specialization subjects.

In order to get admission to the Ph.D. programme, a candidate must hold a Master’s degree in the relevant subject with minimum of 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates).

Candidates seeking admission in the Ph.D programme offered by the university have to appear in a National level Entrance exam known as Central University Common Entrance Test (CUCET – 2019) followed by an interview organized and conducted by the ten Central Universities together. • The cut-off marks to qualify the entrance test will be 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD). Candidates scoring less than 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD) marks will not be considered.
• UGC NET-JRF qualified candidates will be exempted from test and they will be given the weightage of 75 marks of written test, however they have to apply in the CUCET 2019 and appear in interview.
• For admission to Ph.D. program, candidates working in CURAJ Research Projects and those holding Financial Assistance from Govt. of India/Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship (RGNF)/ Maulana Azad National Fellowship (MANF) etc. are required to pass in the written entrance test as well as Interview.
• Candidates having any financial assistance such as RGNF, MANF, etc., will be given priority over those without any financial assistance, subject to qualifying entrance test.

• For admission in Ph.D programs, UGC NET/JRF candidates are exempted from CUCET 2019 written exam but they must fill CUCET-2019 Application form and pay fee.
