 AILET Entrance Exam 2018:

Every year on the first Sunday of May India Law Entrance Test (AILET) is conducted  by National Law University (NLU), New Delhi. NLU Offer multiple courses for law like integrated undergraduate & post graduate law courses such as B.A.LL.B.(Hons.), Ph.D, LL.M, PG Diploma courses provided by the Delhi national law university and its affiliated institutions  on the basis of the scores in the entrance exam candidate can take admission according to their choice.

 

AILET 2018 Eligibility

The eligibility criteria to appear in  AILET 2018 for BA LLB (Hons) course admissions is as mentioned below:

According to the details mentioned on the official website of AILET candidate should have passed the 10+2 examination and must be scored minimum of 50%

However candidate who appeared in the final exam of 10+2 in the same year 2016-2017 are also eligible to sit in the entrance exam by meet the above condition at the time of admission.

In the matter of age limit according to the official website Supreme Court’s  order are issued on March 3, 2018 wherein stay has been imposed on Bar Council of India’s recommendation , there shall be no age restrictions for applying in All India law Entrance Test-2018 for taking admission in LLB but for BA LLB (Hons ) final  decision is still pending

Seat distribution of AILET

After the declaration of AILET results aspirants will be shortlisted for admission to fill 83 seats in the BA LLB (Hons) course and 40 in LLM course. In the BA LLB program, 73 seats are provided for eligible aspirant through  AILET and 10 seats as well as for  foreign citizens can be directly take admission  on the basis of merit. Here, the foreign nationals are exempt from the AILET grant. A seat for Kashmiri migrants and two seats reserved for residents of Jammu and Kashmir. There are 35 + 5 seats for foreign nationals for admission to the LLM program.

 

AILET 2018 Process

In order to secure admissions at NLU, New Delhi, aspirants need to follow the below mentioned steps:

STEP 1: Fill AILET Application Form

 

Candidates  can apply for AILET on the official website of NLU, New Delhi.  Application form will be available in the month of January  2018.

Aspirants can pay the application fee through online mode (debit card/ credit card/ net banking).

 

STEP 2: Download AILET Admit Card

The admit card for AILET will be issued online in the month of April. Candidates can download the admit card from the official website of NLU , New Delhi. It is mandatory to bring the valid admit card during the entrance exam either the candidate will be prohibit from the exam.

 

STEP 3:  AILET Exam

The exam timing and examination center will be disclosed the in admit card. The duration will be of one and a half hour.

Examination paper will be divided in 5 parts

  • English
  • General Knowledge
  • Logical reasoning
  • Basic mathematics
  • Legal aptitude

 

STEP 4: Check  AILET Result

Results will be announced most likely in the month of June, 2018. Candidates who successfully appeared in exam can check there results on the official website of NLU, New Delhi .In order to check the AILET result, candidates need to enter their registration/roll number as well as password on the official exam website. You can download the booklet and answer keys from the same website of NLU, new Delhi  Also, candidates need to take part in counseling process for admission basis on their AILET score.
