AEEE 2018 will be conducted in the month of April 2018. The upcoming Amrita Engineering Entrance Examination (AEEE) will be held in Computer Based and Pen and Paper mode. It will be conducted at national level, in 96 cities across the country. AEEE 2018 will only be organized in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Karnataka state. The candidates will be able to apply for the exam in online and offline mode, in the month of December 2017. However, it is vital to ensure eligibility before applying.

The official AEEE exam dates are yet to be announced. However, candidates aiming to appear for the examination may check tentative duration from the table below.

AEEE 2018 Eligibility Criteria

Age – candidate should have born on or after 1st July 1997.

Educational Qualification – A pass in Class XII with an aggregate of 60% marks in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry (PCM). the candidate must have obtained at least 55% individually in the three subjects.

Minimum eligibility for management quota– an aggregate of 80% marks in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry is required.

Special Note – Candidates who may appear for the above examination in March / April 2018 and expect to secure minimum marks may also apply.

AEEE Exam Pattern 2018

The entrance exams shall be conducted in two different modes (i) Computer Based Test (CBT) and (ii) Pen Paper (P&P). Candidates can choose between any of it but not both and mention it in their application form. P&P is likely to be conducted only in 3 cities (i) Tamilnadu, (ii) Karnataka and (iii) the Kerala States only.

You will get 1 question paper to be completed in 2 ½ hours duration. You shall notice 100 multiple choice questions from the following subjects- Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. You will get 4 options out of which you have to pick the most appropriate one. For every correct answer you may be awarded 3 marks and for every incorrect response, a penalty is asserted on the candidates of 1 mark

Mathematics

Complex Numbers, Permutations and Combinations, Binomial Theorem, Sequences and Series, Matrices and Determinants, Quadratic Equations, Trigonometry, Measures of Central Tendency and Dispersion, Probability, Differential Calculus, Integral Calculus, Differential Equations, 2 Dimensional Geometry, Circles and Family of Circles, Conic Sections, Vector Algebra, 3 Dimensional Geometry etc.

Physics

Units and Dimensions, Mechanics, Solids and Fluids, Oscillations and Waves, Heat and Thermodynamics, Electrostatics, Current Electricity, Magnetostatics, Ray and Wave Optics, Modern Physics, Electromagnetic Induction and Electromagnetic Waves.

Chemistry

Basic Concepts, Equilibrium and Thermodynamics, Atomic Structure, Chemical Bonding and Molecular Structure, Electrochemistry, Kinetics and Surface Chemistry, Solid States and Solutions, Hydrogen, Block Elements, Coordination Compounds, Basic Organic Chemistry and Techniques, Alcohols, Phenol and Ethers, Hydrocarbons, Haloalkanes and Haloarenes, Aldehydes, Ketones, Carboxylic Acids and Amines, Polymers and Biomolecules, Environmental Chemistry, Chemistry in Everyday Life etc.

AEEE 2018 Application Form

The candidates who are interested and eligible to apply may proceed to fill the application. Looking at previous year process, online and offline forms may be available for AEEE 2018.

Online Mode

Here the candidate shall be able to find a official link on the official website that will take them to a new window where they will have to fill the basic detail such as educational qualification, gender, mobile number, category. Candidates can complete and submit online application form available at www.amrita.edu/aeee. You shall also have to upload the scanned images of the Photograph and Signature digitally. The specifications are mentioned in the application form page Then pay the prescribed fee before the last date specified. Applications submitted after the due date will not be accepted.

Offline Mode

The individuals who want to fill the form in offline mode i.e using the OMR sheet, must first of all obtain the form from the university’s office and fill the required entries in the given spaces. The candidates who choose this option can go to our AEEE 2018 Application Form Page. Here you will find step by step visual guide to help you through the required entries needed to be filled. After completing the form, the form shall be put in the same unique coded envelope that you got from the office and enclose the fee in mode asked for.

AEEE 2018 Expected Application Fees

As of now, due to any official information missing, it is hard to say whether the amount shall remain same or change. But anyway! Here is the amount that the candidates had to pay as per last year – Rs. 1000/-.

AEEE 2018 Admit Card

The hall ticket will be uploaded on the official website i.e amrita.edu/aeee in around 03rd week of April 2018. The candidates will need to enter their Application Number and their Date of Birth to obtain the same. You will notice your Name and Registration Number, Date of Exam, Address of the Exam Centre printed on the hall ticket. No candidate will be intimated separately of the admit card by post or telephonic medium. When you reach the exam hall and complete the test, the invigilator will sign the sign the admit card and you must retain a copy of it. You may be asked to produce to one valid photo id such as (i) Voter ID Card (ii) Aadhaar Card (iii) ID Card issued by the school last attended (iv) Passport (v) Driving License

Special Note – Also carry a Black Ball Point Pen/ HB pencils/ Pencil sharpener and eraser.

Exam centre

The candidates who fill the application form in online are required to fill 3 options out of the choices given where they want to appear for the entrance test. You will be allotted the same centre as chosen unless some discrepancy arises. The CBT test is conducted in around 4 slots (days). While P&P entrance test shall be conducted only in 3 cities and in 1 slot only.

AEEE 2018 Result

It is expected that the result will be announced in 01st week of May 2018. The university shall release the Rank List prepared based on the score in the AEEE-2018. It would be accessible on the website of Amrita University at amrita.edu/aeee.
